Berkeley Podiatrist Foot SurgeryOur podiatrists have received extensive clinical and surgical training in treating conditions of the foot and ankle. Dr. Trinh Pham has managed the practice since 2008. Most recently, Dr. Ramos-Carthew joined the group to better serve the growing number of patients. Together our podiatrists use their expertise to serve the Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco Bay area communities.

Nora Zoe Ramos-Carthew, D.P.M.

Dr. Nora Zoe Ramos-Carthew, DPM

Dr. Nora Zoe Ramos-Carthew is a 1994 graduate of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. She is board certified in foot surgery by the ABFAS (American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons) and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Ramos-Carthew also served as a Secretary and Treasurer of the Miami-Dade County Podiatric Medical Association.

She worked in private practice in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida for 12 years, moving later to Houston, TX, where she worked for 8 more years in private practice. Dr. Ramos-Carthew then followed her husband and son to Angola, Africa, where she worked as a volunteer with the expat community, and with the Friends of Luanda Street Children and Orphans (FOLSCO) for two years. She has also volunteered in medical missions in Peru www.medicalmissions.clmusa.org and Guatemala www.misionerosdelcamino.org . In Miami, Dr. Ramos was invited as a guest on the Spanish language television show Vida Total, on the Galavision network, to talk about the effects of high heel shoes on women. She also appeared as a recurring guest in a series on podiatry related issues that have aired on the hit Spanish language television Primer Impacto and Despierta America.

Dr. Ramos has enjoyed reaching out to the local community as a speaker for Running Clubs and as a volunteer podiatrist for the Houston Marathon. She has finished 4 Half Marathons (3 Houston and 1 San Antonio), several 5 and 10 K’s, and two “Fit Company” Houston competitions, earning 3rd place in 2015. She is now training for the Berkeley Half Marathon. Her areas of special interest include wound care, sports medicine, gait analysis, pediatric care, and corrective and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ramos and her family have finally settled in California. They enjoy the outdoors, going for walks, cycling and spending time with family and friends. She has joined For Feet Sake Podiatry Group, where she’s eager to serve the community of Berkeley and the Bay Area.
